Description and details

Other browsers (MicroB is a concrete example) commonly auto-select the contents of their address bar field when the user activates the widget by clicking into it, or at least provide an option to enable that behavior. I'd like to see this in Tear as well, at least optionally, as one of my most frequent workflows to share an URL I'm looking at with someone in an IM conversation window. Auto-selecting the address bar contents would allow me to copy the URL to the clipboard very quickly and conveniently.

Issue #30: Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste don't work in the address bar is related to this request.

How to reproduce

Desired workflow:

1. Open Tear

2. Open the preferences dialog, enable the option to auto-select address bar contents on widget activation

3. Browse around

4. Click into address bar field; it's contents automatically become selected in their entirety

5. Press Ctrl+C or use other means to copy the field's contents to the clipboard

6. Paste in another application
